Graduate and Professional Student Senate
GPSS is made up of two senators from each degree-granting department, four officers, and several staff members. GPSS provides students with representation both on campus and in the legislature. In addition, GPSS acts as a resource center and funds graduate programming.

Graduate Appointee Insurance Program (GAIP)
Graduate appointees, Fellows and Trainees in eligible positions can participate in the Graduate Appointee Insurance Program (GAIP). The UW pays the monthly premium for student appointees with eligible positions. All appointees must re-enroll every Autumn quarter and/or after break in UW-paid GAIP coverage.

Student Accident and Sickness Insurance Plan
All graduate students are eligible for this insurance plan. The deadline to sign up for, change plans, or cancel insurance is the 7th calendar day of the quarter. To sign up, you must be registered for classes. You cannot enroll in, change or cancel your choice after that day. You can register for this insurance on your MyUW page.
