GRADUATE STUDENTS SEE ARAB 513- NOT OPEN TO ACCESS STUDENTS, AUDITORS OR NATIVE SPEAKERS OF ARABIC. A NATIVE SPEAKER IS DEFINED AS ANYONE WHO HAS RECEIVED INSTRUCTION IN SCHOOL THROUGH THE SEVENTH GRADE IN THE LANGUAGE. FINAL EXAM DAY WILL BE THE FIRST SATURDAY IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE LAST DAY OF CLASS.
Catalog Description:
Develops the four communicative language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Stresses communication skills and emphasizes the links between language and culture, using mainly Modern Standard Arabic, with exposure to Egyptian Colloquial Arabic. Third in a sequence of three. Maximum 15 credits allowed between ARAB 101; ARAB 102; ARAB 103; and ARAB 105. Prerequisite: ARAB 102.
