Biography
Born and raised in Yemen, Khalid Ahmed, Assistant Teaching Professor of Arabic, graduated from Sana’a University in June 1994, majoring in Education. Studies included educational principles, teaching methodology, curriculum analysis and development, and educational research and planning.
Khalid has 28 years of teaching experience. He has taught students from almost all ages and a wide variety of cultural backgrounds. His long years of teaching experience include program directing, curriculum developing, teacher training, and oral and written proficiency testing.
His motivation to study and teach Arabic is due to his lifelong fascination with the beauty of the language and its unique root system. His areas of interest are etymology and morphology. As a language is a gateway to understanding the history and culture of a civilization, he enjoys including in his language teaching historical and cultural details about the origins of words and how the usage of words developed through time.
