GRADUATE STUDENTS SEE ARAB 511- NOT OPEN TO ACCESS STUDENTS, AUDITORS OR NATIVE SPEAKERS OF ARABIC. A NATIVE SPEAKER IS DEFINED AS ANYONE WHO HAS RECEIVED INSTRUCTION IN SCHOOL THROUGH THE SEVENTH GRADE IN THE LANGUAGE. FINAL EXAM DAY WILL BE THE FIRST SATURDAY IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE LAST DAY OF CLASS.
Catalog Description:
Develops the four communicative language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Stresses communication skills and emphasizes the links between language and culture, using mainly Modern Standard Arabic, with exposure to Egyptian Colloquial Arabic. Cannot be taken for credit if ARAB 105 or ARAB 411 taken for credit. Second in a sequence of three. Prerequisite: ARAB 101.
