Syllabus Description (from Canvas):
In this course, we explore what the prophets of the Hebrew Bible said and did. We'll look at them in their ancient Middle Eastern historical, oral and literary context. Why is Ezekiel drawing on a brick? Why was Jeremiah thrown in that well? Why did Deborah go to war? No prerequisites. 3 credits.
No final exam - instead, students do a final paper of about 6 pages in length, exploring one of the minor prophets.
